LABC announce switch to BSI for ISO9001 certification
LABC’s Quality Management System (QMS) has achieved near 100% coverage of public service building control teams. Now with such a wide adoption LABC is to switch from Alcumus ISOQAR to BSI to provide third party certification of its QMS.
The switch allows LABC to benefit from BSI’s larger organisation, resources and experience of the sector. It also provides synergy with other parts of BSI dealing with the competency of building surveyors. The switch is expected to take place in June 2022.
Commenting Lorna Stimpson, LABC Chief Executive, said,
“I’d like to thank Alcumus ISOQAR for all their work over the last three years. They were a key part of the introduction of our quality management system – providing the independent third party certification the ISO9001 standard demands. However, going forward with such a wide network across the country we now need to deepen and enrich our QMS and we firmly believe the BSI is the best organisation to work with to do this."
“We are particularly keen to explore the online and marketing resources that BSI provide to extend our quality management further and coordinate with a number of our teams who already use the BSI for their certification.”
