Camden Building Control wins Warranty partnership award
London Borough of Camden’s building control team has won LABC Warranty’s Bricks & Mortar Partnership award for 2015. The award was in recognition of the team’s outstanding work in promoting the warranty scheme, which was set up by LABC to provide a structural warranty service exclusively to local authority building control users.
Camden was chosen as this year’s award winner because the building control team has fully incorporated LABC Warranty into its working ethos and works hard to endorse LABC Warranty as the best insurance choice. This proactive approach has seen benefits for both parties, with a number of high profile project wins - the latest being the Parker Tower site near Holborn.
Well-earned recognition for building control
Camden’s building control team has spent the last year actively engaging with LABC Warranty by providing education sessions, raising awareness of the company among local businesses, introducing it to key influencers and promoting the warranty offered at every available opportunity. This has helped secure more projects for the team.
Nasser Rad, Head of Service at Camden Building Control, said: “We recognised that by supporting the warranty scheme we could supplement our workloads whilst strengthening the valuable business relationships we have built up over the years in addition to potentially forming new customer relationships within the building industry.
“Winning the 2015 Bricks & Mortar Partnership award recognises the amount of hard work my team has put into promoting the scheme and I am proud of the recognition that it brings to Camden and my team. Everyone has gone the extra mile to deliver a really good service. The hard work will continue as we look to retain the award in 2016.”
A successful partnership with LABC Warranty
LABC’s successful partnership with LABC Warranty allows LABC to share knowledge and retain business within the local authority building control network. LABC Warranty's network of experienced, risk management surveyors work alongside LABC surveyors and often review developments in accordance with their own technical standards.
Working together allows us to provide a streamlined service combined with a pool of technical expertise and the success of the partnership can be seen in the rise of LABC Warranty to become one of the largest new home structural warranty providers in the country.
Every LABC team in the UK is eligible for the Bricks & Mortar Partnership Award.
