LABC is delighted to announce that the WINNER of Local Authority Building Control Team of the Year is Babergh & Mid Suffolk District Councils.

The team at Babergh & Mid Suffolk District Councils provide outstanding support to clients and customers, while also assisting other authorities with plan-checking, inspections, and back-office tasks. They actively raise awareness through effective online initiatives and well-attended in-person events, such as seminars and trade displays. The team are proud to now welcome their second LABC Trainee, following the success of their first, who was recognised with awards for their achievements.

With a skilled and fully staffed team, they are ready to lead the future of building control.

Customers had this to say on working with the team:

“The team have always been knowledgeable, approachable and collaborate with the design teams with queries that are had at design stage and on site. When changes in regulations have been implemented, they have been an asset by providing CPD to our firm to address changes and how to implement these elements into designs moving forward.”

“The team deserves this recognition for their proactive and collaborative approach, which was pivotal in the project’s success. Their willingness to engage in detailed discussions, provide timely site visits, and offer practical solutions to regulatory challenges ensured that the project met high standards of safety, sustainability, and design. Their effective communication and problem-solving skills highlight their exceptional performance.”

Looking ahead, LABC remains committed to working together to uphold the highest standards of safety and quality in construction, continuing to drive progress and excellence across the sector.
