LABC Building Excellence Awards 2024 winner: LABC Site Manager of the Year

The LABC Grand Finals 2024 took place on Friday 24 January 2025, at the prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel. A celebration recognising excellent projects and individual contributions within the construction industry.

A panel of expert judges carefully reviewed a diverse range of exceptional projects, professionals, and teams, recognising their invaluable contributions to the industry.

The LABC Building Excellence Awards highlight the key role of public sector building control teams in ensuring the safety, quality, and sustainability of construction projects, showcasing the sector’s commitment to excellence and innovation.

LABC is delighted to announce that the WINNER of LABC Site Manager of the Year is Damian Gray, Berkeley Group.

Damian has spent more than twelve years in the construction industry, with eleven of those years working with the renowned Berkeley Group. Damian is dedicated to constantly improving and growing, never resting on past successes. Instead, he concentrates on continuous improvement and development to create exceptional, high-performing projects that are highly esteemed.

Damian has developed a strong working relationship with building control, utilising electronic platforms to ensure clear communication and efficient completion of as-built certification.

Damian’s relationship with Hart & Rushmoor Building Control Partnership is based on trust and respect, with any issues being directly addressed to maintain confidence in the build. Damian values the input of building control, seeking their input through all phases of projects.
