The Ministry of Housing, Communities & Local Government (MHCLG) has published its response and other documents relating to the outcome of the "Building a safer future: proposals for reform of the building safety regulatory system" consultation launched in June 2019.

The original consultation detailed proposals to "achieve long-term reform of the building safety system" and was built on the recommendations of Dame Judith Hackitt's Independent Review of Building Regulations and Fire Safety.

871 responses were received, including LABC's own, and the documents published by MHCLG include a summary of these responses, the proposals themselves, as well as a quick-read guide.
