Congratulations to all our winners in the Grand Finals 2024!

The LABC Building Excellence Awards Grand Finals 2024 took place at the Grosvenor Hotel in London on Friday 24 January 2025. 

Beginning the year right with the LABC Awards; over 900 guests attended the largest business-to-business awards in the building control sector in the UK. 

Grand Finals 2024 was a celebration dedicated to showcasing amazing projects and people in the wider construction industry. All of those in attendance wereregional winners who had qualified for the Grand Finals and waited with anticipation to see who would take home the coveted national awards.

Each year, the LABC Building Excellence Awards recognise the outstanding building and design teams who have successfully overcome complex technical challenges, construction issues, and site constraints. These exceptional national winners were selected by a panel of expert judges with great care and attention.

The awards also celebrate the success of innovative solutions and the power of collaboration across England and Wales.

Moving forward, the LABC Building Excellence Awards will continue to spotlight remarkable individuals and teams who uphold the highest standards of safety, quality, and craftsmanship in construction. LABC remains committed to driving progress and excellence, not only within the building control sector but across the entire construction industry. 

Event highlights

The evening’s entertainment was nothing short of spectacular, featuring mirror men, TV-head performers, and a roaming photobooth - capturing unforgettable moments for everyone in attendance. The evening fully commenced with a warm welcome from Lorna Stimpson, followed by a delicious three-course meal. The awards ceremony then took centre stage, hosted by actor and comedian, Hugh Dennis, before wrapping up with a networking drinks reception to toast the evening’s achievements. 

There were 22 winners and 8 highly commended entries. Winning projects include; Alverston in Bath, Campkin Road, and many more! You can see all of the award winners and highly commended here.

LABC's charity of the year 'Dementia UK' will benefit from over £6000 raised on the night. Thanks to everyone for your generous donations! Dementia UK provides free, life-changing support and advice to anyone affected by dementia.
