Smoke ventilation system
Fire safety is an ever-evolving issue in both commercial and residential environments. One of the areas of focus is how to ensure occupants have enough time to escape to safety as once a fire has started - moving away is usually the best course of action.
SE Controls’ SHEVTEC Extended Travel Distance Residential Corridor Smoke Ventilation System, which has LABC Registered Details certification, is designed to improve conditions for the safe escape of building occupants in such a situation.
The system is designed in accordance with BS7974* and analysed to provide equivalence with Approved Document B. Results have consistently shown it to operate well beyond these requirements allowing increased travel distances without the need for additional stairwells.
This allows architects and building designers increased flexibility where they most need it and the ability to include significantly more accommodation. For each individual installation, the system is designed, installed, and commissioned by SE Controls giving the consumer added confidence.
