For the past year LABC President, Richard Scott has been fundraising for Pancreatic Cancer UK. With just a couple of weeks remaining LABC will be opening an online auction of signed celebrity sporting goods to help him reach his target.

Richard has spent the past year relentlessly fundraising for the charity; completing sporting events such as the 140 mile coast to coast bike ride and the Great North run. On top of his full-time job at Ashfield District Council and other presidential duties, he has also travelled across the country; attending the LABC Building Excellence regional awards raising the profile of Pancreatic Cancer UK and racing towards his fundraising target.

He currently stands at 97% of his £45,000 fundraising target.

All for a good cause

Help Richard beat his target by bidding on these unique items, with all proceeds going directly to Pancreatic Cancer UK:

Wasps shirt signed by rugby professional Danny Cipriani

Nike Mercurial football boots signed by Everton winger, Yannick Bolasie

Boxing gloves signed by two-weight world champion Carl Frampton

Place a bid on any of these items at https://www.givergy.com/charity/labc-pancreatic-cancer-uk (The auction will close on 9 November at 9pm.)

Pancreatic Cancer UK

Pancreatic Cancer UK provides expert, personalised support and information via their Support Line and range of publications. They fund innovative research to find the breakthroughs that will change how we understand, diagnose and treat pancreatic cancer. The charity is campaigning for change; for better care, treatment, and research, and for pancreatic cancer to have the recognition it needs.

There's still time left to donate before Richard’s term as President comes to an end and the role of President passes to Winchester's Head of Building Control, Chris Griffith-Jones, who will be nominating his own charity. Find out more and donate on his JustGiving page.
