New home improvements website launched - LABC's Front Door

LABC are pleased to announce the launch of our new website for homeowners - Front Door. It aims to provide practical guidance on home improvements, lots of technical advice and information on building control and planning permission approvals.

The website features sections on home renovation projects like garage conversions, extensions, kitchen renovations and loft conversions (and many more) and encourages homeowners to get in touch with their own queries with the "Ask Anna" feature. We’ll also be publishing blog posts and homeowner-related news items on a regular basis. 

Front Door will also be useful for builders and other types of tradespeople who work with homeowners on a day to day basis, giving them somewhere to point homeowners to for advice and possibly to check facts themselves.

LABC have also been working with partners like the Competent Person Schemes Forum and the NHIC (National Home Improvement Council) to give homeowners specialist and consumer protection advice and access to registered and regulated firms and installers.
