Congrats to all the Welsh winners at the LABC All Wales Building Excellence Awards 2019
The LABC All Wales Building Excellence Awards took place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cardiff on Friday 27 September. Over 100 guests from all over Wales attended the lunchtime event along with company representatives from across the industry including the likes of: Willmott Dixon, Jehu Group and Anwyl Homes.
The winners of the All Wales Awards (North and South) go on to qualify for the LABC Grand Finals 2019.
Event highlights
The event was hosted by Peter Richards, Chair of LABC Cymru and in total there were 15 winners including the new BBC Headquarters in Cardiff (BBC Cymru) and phase 1 of Wales' first Science Park (M-Sparc, Menai Science Park, pictured below) operated by Bangor University.
"These awards are different. They aren’t about good looks or fancy design (although many winners incorporate both). They are about quality and standards. No other building awards look at how well buildings are put together from start to finish and the skills and competencies of those who design and construct them. We are very proud of everyone involved – they show the way ahead for the industry."Paul Everall CBE, Chief Executive at LABC
