Charl Kleynhans, St George West London wins Residential Construction Professional of the Year award at 2019 LABC Building Excellence Awards Grand Final

Charl Kleynhans was awarded the title of Residential Construction Professional of the Year at the Grand Final of the LABC Building Excellence Awards – one of the most recognised events in the building industry’s calendar.

A panel of industry experts judged a list of the highest quality projects and teams from around England and Wales to reward the best in technical innovation, sustainability and design.

Charl was recommended for this prestigious award by his colleagues, and this was endorsed by the Building Control team at the London Borough of Barnet. Paying tribute, his colleagues said, "There are others paid more, others considered more important, others proudly broadcasting their achievements, but it is without hyperbole, there is no other as integral as Charl Kleynhans."

The panel of expert judges said,

"Charl Kleynhans is the cornerstone of the Construction team at Beaufort Park. Charl has overseen the construction of approximately 815 apartments and continues to produce the high quality homes both St George and their customers are proud of. He also went that extra mile and barbequed for an army of tradesmen on site."

The Grand Final of the LABC Building Excellence Awards took place on Friday 8 November 2019 at the Westminster Park Plaza in London and was hosted by multi award-winning comedian Milton Jones. 840 building industry professionals including contractors, architects and engineers attended the celebration to find out which projects won across the 15 hotly contested categories.

These awards showcase building and design teams that tussle with complex technical or construction issues and building site constraints. They highlight innovative and creative solutions and building control professionalism that leads to safe, sustainable and high quality construction projects.
