We are looking for a positive and enthusiastic person to join our well-resourced Building Control team. Responsible for the validation of building regulations applications and providing building control advice and guidance to customers, you should have proven experience of working in a customer-facing, busy office environment and be able to demonstrate good administrative skills, the ability to multi-task and confidence in using IT packages.
Excellent communication skills are required as you will be dealing with developers, construction professionals and members of the public both face to face and on the telephone.

The job is principally based at the Council's offices in Thrapston and is part of a shared service with the Borough Council of Wellingborough. East Northamptonshire is a prosperous place with six towns and many beautiful villages set within very attractive countryside.
